Many local governments are turning over big chunks of data to programmers to create useful Web sites and apps.
Doing research for a work project, I had occasion to pull up median household income data by county from the Census Bureau. For fun, I sorted by income, and maybe I’m naive, but I was shocked by what I found. Seven of the top fifteen counties are in the Washington, D.C., metro area!
This is one of those unexpectedly expected facts that serves to confirm my libertarian worldview.
